Carpet Cleaners
Carpet cleaning is achieved either by applying a water and detergent solution or a dry
powder, into the carpet pile. In both cases the carpet pile is agitated by the carpet
cleaner brushes to allow the cleaning solution to penetrate the pile. The dirty liquid or
powder is then sucked up by the cleaning machine.
The result of the clean will depend on the efficiency of the cleaning brushes in allowing
the cleaning solution to penetrate the carpet pile and then of the carpet cleaner being
able to remove all the dirty liquid or powder.
Where a wet clean is carried out, a more powerful machine should leave the carpet nearly
dry.
